1_ Can the purchased property be rented?

After the purchase and completion of the transfer of the purchased property deed, the question arises for many, whether the purchased property can be rented or not.

The answer to this question is very clear and you, like all citizens of Turkey, can rent out your purchased property and benefit from its income, and there will be no legal problems in this area.

When it comes to renting a property in Turkey and in most tourist cities, you can rent your property in several ways and earn different rents in different cases. The first and most common method of renting is the annual contract, which is implemented in the form of a one-year contract or more. In another model of rental income, you can rent your property on a short-term or monthly basis, which is more common in houses that are purchased with a hotel concept.

Or you can offer your property through sites like AIRBNB under daily or weekly rent to the citizens of other countries of the world and get great financial benefits from it.

2_How long after the purchase can the property be sold?

Another question that gets a lot of attention after the purchase and completion of the transfer of the deed is how long after the purchase of the property it can be sold; in response to this question there are two general issues which we refer to.

If you used the property you bought as a means of obtaining Turkish citizenship and passport, you will not have the right to sell it and hand it over to someone else for three years, and in fact, the said property deed is mortgaged for three years and cannot be sold.

But if the Turkish passport and citizenship are not included with the purchased property, you can sell the said property at any time you want and follow the transfer matters.

Another important point that should be paid attention to, and it is also very important for obtaining a passport, is to the sale of property to non-Turkish people. This is not suitable for those who are thinking of obtaining a Turkish passport. It means that you cannot sell your house to another foreigner who wants to obtain Turkish passport and citizenship. In case of Turkish citizenship and passport, the property should be purchased/soled from/by a company or person with Turkish citizenship.

3_ Is there a limit for the price of the purchased property?

1- Foreign citizens can only purchase 10% of the land and properties of each district

2- None of the foreigners can purchase the land located in the military and security areas of the Republic of Turkey.

3- Any foreigner in Turkey can purchase up to thirty hectares of land in the Republic of Turkey.

4_How many properties can you purchase in Turkey?

A number of restrictions applied to the property by a foreigner were mentioned in the previous section, but for the number of apartments purchased in Turkey, no limit has been set by the legislator.

5_ Is the property deed in Turkey 99-year term?

Considering the events that happened in the field of real estate in neighboring countries in the past years, the question always arises, whether real estate documents in Turkey are ninety-nine termed or not. To this question, it should be pointed out that the Republic of Turkey grants the same deed that it provides to its citizens without any exception to foreigners investing in this country.
